The visit to Bezhoek was last ofy itinerary arranged by Tented Adventures; it was the perfect way to end my short stay in South Africa. The accommodation and facilities were excellent. I cannot fault the attentive service from all the staff. Thank you.
Thanks to Meghan for 2 great drives and an enjoyable morning walk out. There is some stunning scenery to be seen particularly from the view point.
Thanks, Carolyn for setting everything up we TA. Hopefully when things settle down, I will be along with the rest of my original travelling companions.
The friendliness and professionalism of all staff was remarkable. From the booking process with Carolyn – who no request is to much trouble for to Lizette the Camp Manager who runs an excellent site to Megan our Safari guide who was a pleasure to talk to and really knew her stuff to the new chef Marvin who produced some wonderful meals especially dinner. All round fantastic stay and will be back next year in a heartbeat. Thankyou
My vision for my Birthday on the 11th August was to invite some close friends to join me out in nature. I dreamt of sleeping in a tent with only the screen between me a nature – feeling the night
breeze and waking to the sounds of birds and eternal quiet. Game drives to explore new horizons, plains game, walking trails and more.
Tented Adventures had already sent me your specials for August with Pilansberg, Pretoriuskop and Bezhoek as options I eventually settled on Bezhoek. This new camp outside Middleburg,
on a 4500 hectares of pristine Nature Reserve was my final choice.
The two days were more than I had expected – This Private NatureReserve is more than pristine with bio-diversity including wildlife, bird species, extensive population of Cycads, cliffs, valleys and riverine forestation. Both the Olifants and Klein Olifants rivers meander through this Conservation Gem.
The accommodation was beyond expectations : The comfortable tents included a Kingsize bed (or 2 x 3/4 beds), pristine cosy linen with puffy duvets and an electric blanket which ensured that I was able to sleep with my tent open to nature whilst snugged up in bed! An en suite Shower/Basin/Toilet (with closable door) and on tap hot water added to the comfortable experience. Each tent has an electric stove top for early coffee and a fridge to keep you wine and champagne!
To add more value – our Game Guide – Megan was exceptional with a wealth of knowledge across all spectrums of Nature. She made our group feel so special and was always able to answer
any questions as well as share her personal experiences in Nature. Early morning and late afternoon game drives had added warmth with a hot water bottle and blanket – so further cosy
You are also required to bring your own choice of beverages – which are not sold or supplied on the Property.
A beautiful property which is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED – by ShirlontheRoad Travel
We went as a group of 8 for a friend’s birthday, and didn’t quite know what to expect, as the pricing was so good. Well, we were so happily surprised. Our accommodation in a tent had its own ablution facilities, nice hot shower and spacious bathroom. The beds were heavenly, beautiful linen, electric blankets and fine down duvets. The food was a wonderful surprise, as it was plentiful and creatively presented and thought out.
The staff are fantastic, friendly and cannot do enough for you. There is a tea and coffee station available throughout the day.
The best were the guided walks and game drives with Megan. A 23 year old young lady with a power house of knowledge and passion for everything nature has to give, whether it’s a type of grass, a bird, some “skat” droppings or wild animals, she knows everything about them. Her professionalism and passion was just amazing. We had cold weather, but were given hot water bottles and blankets for the game drives, which made a huge difference. I highly recommend Bezhoek.
If you want a break, only 2 hours or so from Jhb, then this is a great place to relax.
Firstly thank you for the most wonderful 2 days at Bezhoek. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the game drives through the nature reserve and the amazing rocks and plains game. The food was on a par with the finest restaurant and the tented accommodation was really good with very fine linen. Megan the game ranger, is an absolute asset to the nature reserve and is wonderfully accomplished in terms of her knowledge of the bush, spoor, foliage and her amazing attentiveness to her guests.
